hi.

My name is Nina. I’m a senior product designer with a focus on digital products and AI. I currently am a lead designer at Microsoft within Cloud + AI. The main focus of our group is customer success for a variety of applications within Cloud + AI, including Azure, Dynamics 365, Power BI, and other business applications. I specialize in User Experience, Visual design, Accessibility, Design systems, and Prototyping for web and mobile platforms.

a little bit about my experience.

In June 2024, I will be graduating with a Master's in Human Centered Design and Engineering from University of Washington. I applied for this program because I wanted to refine and further my skills as Designer by immersing myself in the other roles of UX like Project Manager and Engineerings. My theory is that if I am able to understand their roles in the industry I can better communicate and collaborate with them. Additionally, I have an associates of Visual Communication from Shoreline College where I learned about the fundamentals of design and color theory, a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Visual Art from the University of Washington, where I learned the fundamentals of photography, texture, fundamentals of typography, layout, and branding. I will be graduating with my Masters of Science in Human Centered Design and Engineering where I took courses in web design, information visualization, and video storytelling and prototyping, which broadened my creative mindset giving me new skills to apply to my role as a Senior Product Designer.

I have over 5 years of experience in designing solution following the Human Centered Design process and thinking. My proficiency includes research, wire framing, prototyping, design systems, accessibility compliance and sizzle video direction. At Microsoft Corporation, I collaborated with a team of software engineers to design a web-based application that significantly improved user satisfaction ratings. Additionally, I helped redesign and migrate a product generated a cost savings of $1 million annually. One of my greatest strength lies in my ability to think critically and solve complex problems and have a track record of improving key performance indicators through performance and scalability.

on a personal note.

I love the outdoors, traveling, houseplants and fitness. I have a pretty cool senior dog, who I rescued as a puppy and my life revolves around her. ☺️
